  1. How do I delete output calculations, which I do not want to save with my images, from the database?
If you right click on a database entry, a dialog appears that allow you to modify entries, e.g. rename or delete them. Please note that deleting output calculations this way will delete them from the entire database, not just the study/study unit/measurement that you have right-clicked on.

  1. I want to copy my configurations and database on to another computer. Where are the folders located?
The path for the folders depends on which operating system you use. To be able to locate the folders you need to enable viewing of hidden files and folders.

XPC:\Documents and Settings\All users\Application Data\Visiopharm
Vista/7C:\ProgramData\Visiopharm

  1. How will I be able to work with a database that I have copied from another computer?
First of all you need to set the database path in VIS (Preferences) to the path where you have copied the database to. I.e. it is easiest if you put the copied database in the same location as your other databases.

Then you need to attach the database to the SQL server. This can be done by letting VIS do it when trying to read a database, but the recommended method is to use the SQL server management studio express (SSMSE) which is a graphic user interface tool for the SQL server. Open SSMSE and right click on database. Choose Task - attach and browse to find the .mdf file corresponding to your database. The .mdf file is located in the Database folder. If attaching the database fails, make sure that the Windows user account has full control over both the database folder and the .mdf and .ldf files in it. For Windows Vista and Windows 7, run SSMSE as an administrator.

Note: If you have virtual slides in the copied database, these virtual slides also need to be copied, and should be put on the same path as the computer they were copied from. Otherwise VIS cannot find them.
