Visiopharm: Analysis Software

		Example of application suitable for both image analysis and stereology. Volumes of tissue and tumor are estimated from the Cavalieri principle (area in each section multiplied with distance between sections)

		Image analysis: Area of tissue and area of tumor are quantified using a custom image analysis protocol in Visiomorph.

		Stereology: Using newCAST, a point grid with a fine (green crosses) and a coarse (blue circles) scale is applied to estimate area of tumor and area of tissue respectively.

NewCASTTM provides all the well-known stereological tools and probes, giving you the freedom to combine several probes in an efficient setup for your study. Novel methods and principles in stereology are continuously being implemented in NewCASTTM allowing you to perform state-of-the-art analysis.

For some applications image analysis offers fast and efficient means of obtaining quantitative information about tissue sections or cell cultures. VisiomorphTM is used to define sophisticated image analysis protocols to retrieve quantitative end points from individual images as well as large batches of images. This analysis is based on a combination of spatial, morpholocial and contextual information.
